As I promised on Monday, I have some really exciting news to share with you! I have been selected to be a design team member with the challenge site House of Cards!! I am absolutely thrilled to be a part of this team and this challenge site!
Today marks the start of a new challenge – this challenge requires you to use a food item or the colors in the challenge image.
I decided to do both! I have three food stamps – a tomato, a pear and a peach. So I stamped the peach and the tomato on watercolor paper and black heat embossed them. Then I masked them off and added the pear to make it look like it was positioned behind the other images and then heat embossed it as well.
I used my distress inks to watercolor the fruit/vegie (depending on if you are a “tomato is a fruit or tomato is vegie”). I added a bit of watercolor under the images to ground them a bit.
I added the candy dots and pearls but just wasn’t happy with the end result. It needed something else. So I opted to flick some of the greens onto the card front and was pretty happy with that!
This challenge is open all month so hop on over to the House of Cards Challenge Blog to link up your projects! And be sure to see what the other DT members have for you! Lots of inspiration!!
Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop in tomorrow!
