As You See It

Happy Trails For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fun sketch challenge!

#326 6.21.24

I love a great sketch and this one is definitely open to interpretation.  I don’t know that I did it justice but my mind went to camping so I searched out some camping stamps and got started.  I stamped and colored my images before die cutting.

The sentiment snugged up nicely with the car and trailer so that I didn’t have to ruin the clean lines of the Tahitian tide that I added underneath.  Just a nice pop of color all around!

A Speedy Thanks For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a speed challenge to make a thank you card!

#325 6.7.24

I have a love/hate relationship with speed challenges.  I love them when I know exactly what I am going to make and I can get it done in the required time…and I hate them when I know what I am going to make and it takes more than 10 minutes…lol!  I had to make this card twice so I was an expert the second time around.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 325 1

I stamped the image from the long ago retired SU! always thankful stamp set.  I love this stamp set because of this one image.  I stamped it in wild wheat and ran the card thru my linen impression plate.  I stamped the sentiment and went to check the time…and cleared the timer!!  Argh!  So I started over!

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 325 2

So I repeated the above paragraph, sans clearing the time, snipped the sentiment edges and popped up on the card.  I was so proud of myself – I was about 5 minutes in when I decided to add some bling – which cost me a minute and a half trying to unstick the dots and get them on the card!  But at 6 minutes and 30 seconds, my card was done!

Wedding Bells For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a theme challenge to make a wedding card.

#324 5.24.24

My sweet niece is getting married – thus my inspiration for the challenge!  I wanted to use her colors to make this card for her and my soon to be sweet nephew.  I started by die cutting the bride (in white and white linen) and groom (in misty moonlight) and gluing all the pieces together.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 324 1

I die cut the oval in this lovely green to showcase the bride and groom.  I popped it up over some ribbon and then added the sentiment – which I really had to dig to find.  I think I need some more wedding sentiments!  Happy wedding day!

Pretty In Pink For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  We have a recipe challenge to use an embossing folder, black, white, one other color and die cut.

#323 5.10.24

I opted to stamp my image (in pretty in pink as my one other color) randomly on the white card stock.  Then I embossed with my tasteful texture embossing folder.

I stamped the sentiment, die cut it as well as the white card front.  Then I adhered the card front to the pretty in pink cardstock and then onto black.  Finally, I added a strip of black behind the sentiment to anchor everything together.

Apple Blossoms For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank challenge.  The color I use least in my crafting is...flirty flamingo!

#322 4.26.24

Confession:  This card was made for our previous challenge.  As I was making it - I had the thought that I never use flirty flamingo and shame on me because it is a lovely color!  You are probably wondering why I didn't post it for our last challenge...because I broke the rules and used green and two neutrals (white and brown) when you are allowed one neutral and only the four colors in the challenge.  I didn't have time to make another card so I had to sit out the challenge.  However...sometimes mistakes can become a card for the next challenge!

I stamped the apple harvest branch and colored the apples with my calypso coral and flirty flamingo blends.  I used crumbcake and granny apple green for the branch and leaves.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 321 1

I stamped the sentiment and some flowers that I colored with bubble bath and daffodil delight.  I fussy cut them and added to the card front.  I backed the white front with flirty flamingo then adhered to the calypso coral base.  I ended up making another card with flirty flamingo while I had the cardstock out.  That means I am probably good with this color for awhile.  LOL.

Lighthouse Sketch For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fun sketch challenge!

#320 3.29.24
I started by stamping my lighthouse and then die cutting.  I went rectangle instead of circle, but that’s the great thing about this sketch – you can change up the shape!

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 320 1

I decided to get creative with the way I stamped the sentiment and I love how it turned out.  As you can see, I split the sentiment and used the word light to keep to the sketch requirements.  Once I had all the parts of the sentiment done – I added that bit of twine to keep with the oceany feel.  I popped the whole thing up on a piece of real red, adhered that to the white card base and was done.

Speedy Spring For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a speed challenge to use spring flowers!

#319 3.15.24

I dug out this spring flowers stamp set that I have had for a long time and never used.  I thought I could finally beat this challenge and make a card in about 6 minutes (I know we have 10 minutes but I always seem to need the whole 10 minutes).  I did not think this through.  LOL.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 319 1

The image stamping (and linen plate) took about 3 minutes – I took a quick peek at the timer and thought I can do this – just the coloring left!  Umm…no I couldn’t.  I spent the next 6 minutes and 53 seconds coloring.  Maybe next time!  Time left:  7 seconds.

Easter Wishes For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a theme challenge to celebrate Easter.

#318 3.1.24

I don’t have a lot of Easter stamps but…I bought this cute bunny wreath a while back and voila…Easter!  This is a stamp and stencil set so first up was stenciling the bunnies, the flowers and the carrots.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 318 1

The stamp portion is all of the greenery and sentiment.  I die cut the wreath and popped it up on some rustic white with the sentiment in the middle.  I added some sparkle and was done!

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  We have a recipe challenge to use an embossing folder, plaid, ribbon/twine, die cut and rhinestones/gems.

#317 2.16.24

I started by stamping the thermos image from SU! warmest heart and then die cutting.  I ran my card base through my linen impression plate and then a piece of the Tahitian tide through the absolutely argyle embossing folder.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 317 1

I die cut a piece of white cardstock, ran thru the linen plate, added the plaid dsp before adding the ribbon, thermos, sentiment and pearl.  I layered everything together and was done!

Enduring Beauty For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  My latest craft purchase is the enduring beauty stamp/stencils/dies set from Stampin’ Up!

#316 2.2.24

I used the stencils to create a soft floral image and then die cut.  This stencil set is amazing and is going to get some use from me.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 316 1

I die cut a piece of vellum to serve as my back drop and then added the floral image.  I stamped the sentiment and die cut along with some green leaves.  I layered everything together, added some pearls and twine and was done.
