I added a piece of dsp and garden green trim to the vanilla card front and then die cut using a stitched rectangle.

I adhered to the card base and was planning to add some bling until I checked the time.  I had about 5 seconds left so I didn’t bother!  Time was 9 minutes and 55 seconds.

I have a brand new great niece and so this card will go to her parents.  I started by stamping this Noah’s Ark image and coloring with my alcohol markers.

I die cut using my cross stitch squares and then added a couple of smaller ones in pale papaya and mango melody to go behind the main image.  I added a few dark gray dots and adhered to my card base and that was it!

Distressed For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  We have a recipe challenge and are charged with using watercolor, floral stamps, bright colors, pattern paper and a punch/die.

#281 8.12.2022

I started by watercoloring a background of bright pink.  I then stamped a black daisy image on it.  It came out distressed looking so when life gives you lemons…I decided to embrace the distress!  I grabbed some kraft cardstock for the base and roughed up the edges a bit as well as die cutting the daisy image with my deckled edges die.  Using some granny apple green pattern paper, I die cut a stitched jumbo fishtail and attached to the card base.  I attempted to distress the edges a bit but the pattern paper is thin so I gave up quickly!

I had great debate about adding a sentiment.  By happy accident, I found one that had a bit of a distress to it which I didn’t notice at first.  I stamped the sentiment and started to panic!  I thought I had moved the sentiment and messed up the whole card – but – that is exactly the way the stamp is supposed to look – old fashioned typed lettering that is a bit off.  See, happy accident!  I popped up the daisy image then added a bit of black bling and was done.

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  My favorite Christmas in July Creation is … a Christmas card in non-traditional Christmas colors.

#280 7.29.2022

I started with my stamp set from The Greetery and stamped all the flowers in bright tropical colors.  I did the greens in a traditional green and a bright green.

I die cut the hoop three times and layered together before adding a bit of twine at the top.  Finally, I die cut everything, layered on the hoop and then the card base and was done!  A fun bright tropical Christmas card for July!

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a color challenge to use petal pink, polished pink, orchid oasis and starry sky.

#279 7.15.22

Using the required colors, I did a little blending of the colors using my linen stencil.  I then die cut the paper to create the background for my flower silhouette.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 279 1

I used my SU! harvest dies to die cut the flower from starry sky paper and then adhered to the blended paper.  I layered on white card stock and then popped up a sentiment as the final touch.  I loved how this turned out.

The Best Thing About Moms...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank.  The best thing about mothers is love!

#274 5.6.2022

I started by stamping and coloring mother and daughter images and then die cutting.  I die cut some pattern paper and the sentiment and then layered everything up.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 274 1

Moms lead us, teach us, cry with us and celebrate with us.  I miss my mom terribly and she did all of these and more.  She did it because she loved me.  She held my hand when I was young and I held hers when she got older.  Where you go, I go.  Love you and miss you mom!
