As You See It

Trust In Faith...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fun sketch challenge!

#302 6.30.23

I started by die cutting a couple of stitched vertical strips and then ended up layering them.  That wasn’t my original intent but I couldn’t decide what width I like better so when in doubt – layer!

I knew I wanted a fairly large and bold floral so that I could stamp my sentiment over it and ended up finding this old hydrangea bloom.  I stamped it in bubble bath and love it!  I added the sentiment and then die cut the wonky frame.  I layered everything up and was done!

Seashells For The AYSI Seashore...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a speed challenge to use seashells on a card.

#301 6.16.23

I dug around in my stash to find some seashell stamps and was pretty happy I had some!  Lol!  I dug out my paper, inks, dies and stamps so that I was ready to go when I started the clock.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 301 1

I stamped, colored and die cut the small seashells, die cut two sand dollars out of two different card stocks and then stamped a sentiment.  I was in full panic mode because all of that took the vast majority of the clock.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 301 2

I adhered the sand dollar and then quickly added three small seashells next to it.  I was just trying to position the yellow seashell when the clock ran out so it looks a little random but that’s how it goes.  I used all 10 minutes.

Blue Flowers For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  We have a recipe challenge to use a frame, flowers, die cut, bow and shades of blue.

#299 5.19.23

I started by using my markers to ink the corn flower image.  I used three shades of blue and two green.  It made a lovely water colored image.  I framed the image in seaside spray with a sweet little balmy blue die cut bow.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 299 1

I added a small sentiment and layered the card front on two more shades of blue and was done.

New Additions For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  The most recent addition to my craft stash is:  cardstock in the SU! retiring colors of pale papaya, pear pizzazz and Sahara sand.

#298 5.5.23

I started by double stamping a vintage bottle in pale papaya and fussy cutting.  Then I die cut the dotted tag in all the colors and slotted some of the different dots in the tag.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 298 1

I layered everything up, added the sentiment and popped up the bottle.  I hate to see Sahara sand and pear pizzazz go – they have been trusty colors I have used a lot.  What’s your new addition?  Make a card and let us know!

Colors For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a color challenge to use parakeet party, so saffron, coastal cabana and gorgeous grape on your card.

#297 4.21.23

I do love color challenges but this one was tough.  And I picked the colors for it!  What was I thinking?? LOL!  I will admit that I like how abstract these colors look together.  I started by stamping the pear image in parakeet party and adding the sentiment.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 297 1

Then I used dsp in the other three colors and die cut using my deckled edges.  I used a bit of black to transition between the papers.  I popped up the die cuts over some coastal cabana ribbon and added a couple of dots.

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fun sketch challenge!

#296 4.7.23

I started by stamping and die cutting the honey jar for the centerpiece of my sketch.  I used black ink to splatter all of my cardstock and then I die cut the bumblebee paper with my deckled rectangle edges.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 296 1

I used my honeycomb die cuts for the other parts of the sketch and then adhered to the card base.  I popped up the honey jar and the sentiment and was done!

#295 3.24.23

I pulled out everything I needed and got started.  I stamped the image in crumbcake on my card base and then colored using alcohol inks.  I ran the card front and base through my linen plate.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 295 1

I die cut with my deckled edges, adhered the ribbon to the back and then to the card base.  I added some dots and pearls and was done.  Surprisingly, I had 1 minute and 18 seconds left.

Spring Flowers Please...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a theme challenge to use up our scrap stashes.

#294 3.10.23

This is not the card I started out to make.  I came across the tulips while looking for something else.  But I liked the idea of using the tulips so here we are.  We are knee deep in snow and expecting up to another foot in the next couple of days.  I need some spring flowers!

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 294 1

I stamped the spring sentiment and then popped up the tulips after adding a bit of twine.  I meant to add some bling but forgot.  It happens.

Recipe In Pink...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  We have a recipe challenge to use distressed paper, blossoms, pearls, shades of pink and embossing folder.

#293 2.24.23

I started by stamping my branch with pear pizzazz and the wisteria with pink pirouette and pretty in pink.  I added the sentiment and then ran thru my dainty diamonds embossing folder.  I cut the card front down with my deckled edges die.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 293 1

I also ran a piece of pink pirouette thru the dainty diamond EF and deckled edges.  Then I did something that just about did me in – I crumpled the paper.  Oh man!  My organized pea brain just about couldn’t handle it!  LOL.  But it’s a great way to distress your paper!   I then adhered everything to a card base of pretty in pink, added some pearls and was done!

Tulips Mean Spring...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  My favorite thing about spring is: all of the spring flowers.  Tulips, daffodils, irises.  I love to see them pop up in the spring after the cold winter.

#292 2.10.23

I stamped the tulip images and then colored using my stampin’ blends.  I die cut them and added a bit of linen thread.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 292 1
