Retro Rubber Challenge 135...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a fun tic tac toe so let’s get to it!

RRCB 135

I chose to go with ribbon, emboss, birthday.  I started by stamping some balloons in soft colors.  Then I added the sentiment and some balloon strings.  The stamps came from two different sets of stamps (SSS big birthday wishes – 2015 and Paper Smooches sentiment sampler) that I have had for more than five or six years.

Then I embossed the white card stock (with my linen plate) and added an embossed strip of X's under the sentiment before adding my pool party ribbon.

I layered these on a crumbcake base and added the sentiment and some twine.  The sentiment is from my 2017 Papertrey Ink infinity frames sentiments.

I started with this beautiful mums stamp from Rubbernecker Stamps which I have had since 2016.  I stamped the first layer in chocolate chip ink and then added yellow, orange and red to the flower portion of the stamp.  I wasn’t sure what I would get – but it turned out really well.

Then I added a sentiment from Simon Says Stamp’s Birthday Flowers from 2016.  Finally I added a couple of strips of crushed curry and die cut with a stitched die.

It’s a new challenge at Retro Rubber!  Jan Clothier created a fun tic tac toe challenge for us!

RRCB 104

I went with birthday, washi and butterflies!  I punched three mini butterflies using some plaid paper, perfect plum and granny apple green.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 104 1 (555x640)

I used several pieces of washi tape before adding the butterflies.  My sentiment, from PTI Ways to Say Birthday from 2017, is stamped on a washi tape die cut that I popped up for some visual interest.  I finished off with a bit of bling.

I opted for the balloons, ink smooshing and glitter for my card!  I am using this sweet balloon giraffe from Close To My Heart Balloon Animals from 2016.  I heat embossed it in white on a piece of water color paper.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 100 1 (596x640)

I also heat embossed the sentiment before doing my ink smooshing.  I die cut the watercolor paper, adhered to the card base and added glitter dots and rhinestones.

September House Of Cards...

Welcome to a new challenge at House of Cards!  As always, we have a fun challenge with making either a birthday card, using the colors or both.

September Birthday theme and or colors

My apologies to my teammates and to you for the late post today!  You know when you wake up in the middle of the night and wonder what day it is?  And then remember you were supposed to have a card made and a post up for today?  Yep!  That was me!  But better late than never!

Www.seejanestamp.com Sept HOC 1 (580x640)

I went for the birthday card with a bit of the colors thrown in.  I dug out some of my funky patterned paper and adhered to a base of white.

Www.seejanestamp.com Sept HOC 2 (640x352)

I accidently shorted the striped piece but I love the result – it adds a bit more something something to the card.  I added the sentiment and then ran the card through the linen impression plate.

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge!!  It’s a challenge all about flowers!  It is May after all!

RRCB 86
My mom requested a card for a friend of hers who was turning 90.  She wanted purple and the numbers in cork, I wanted flowers.  I started by die cutting the numbers in cork and die cutting a mini scallop stitched rectangle.

I stamped the bleeding heart in purple and then added the sentiment and cork numbers.  The stamps are from Papertrey Ink’s Garden Gate (2016) and Clearly Besotted Message Me (2016).

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 86 2 (640x490)

I popped up the rectangle and added some dots and pearls to finish off the card.

RRCB 83

I needed to make a birthday card for my mom.  It ended up being a bit more Christmasy feeling than I had intended but she loved it just the same!

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 83 1 (552x640)

I started by using the sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch and cut some assorted panels out of patterned paper and adhered to a piece of cream cardstock.

I added the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Message Me (2016), ran everything thru the linen impression plate and then popped the cream cardstock up on a base of cream.  I finished it off with a bit of bling and a sweet epoxy heart for my mama!
