Christmas

A Misty Moonlight Christmas...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fun sketch challenge!

#338 12.6.24

I started by running my misty moonlight card base through the forever plaid embossing folder.  Then I cut down the snowflake paper and backed it with white to make it pop from all the blue.  I stamped the sentiment and snowflake and then diecut before adhering.

I twisted some silver thread and white twine around the snowflake paper and then added the rest of the sentiment.  Happy Holidays everyone!

Retro Rubber Challenge 245...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a holiday tic tac toe and I opted for ribbon/twine, tag and embellishments.

RRCB 245

I am back after an extended break.  Lots of things going on that prevented crafty time for me but I wanted to make sure I got in for the last challenge!

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 245 1

I started by embossing a piece of white cardstock that I adhered to the white base.  I die cut a tag and backed with candy cane paper and then added the ribbon/twine, candy canes and rhinestones.  The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted Message Me from 2016.  Merry Christmas to all!

#337 11.22.24

I started by stamping and die cutting a couple of scrub brush trees.  Then it was off to the races.  I quickly die cut the card front with my deckle edge rectangles and added two pieces of dsp and adhered to the card base.

I popped up the trees, whipped up the sentiment and with shaky hands was pressing it on the card when the timer went off!  My monochromatic trees card was done with no time left over!

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s an inspiration challenge to let the image inspire your card.

RRCB 221

I started by running some white cardstock through my merry melody impression folder and then die cutting into a stitched rectangle.  I also die cut two boughs, intertwined them and adhered to the card front.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 221 1

I die cut silver bells, popped up on the boughs and then added the sentiment.  The sentiment is from Lil Inkers No Peeking from at least 10 years ago because I have had it that long!  I die cut around the sentiment and added some twine.  I finished off with some red rhinestones.

#313 12.1.23

I leaned into the star theme and finished my card in 10 minutes exactly.  I started by running the cardstock thru the linen plate and then the real red and white thru the star spangled impression plate.  I adhered the three layers together.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 313 1

I die cut the star and cut down a couple of pieces of bitty star paper and then adhered to the white.  I stamped the sentiment, added the gold star and then some enamel stars.  Oof!  My hands were shaking at the end!

Retro Rubber Challenge 220...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a tic tac toe and I opted for frame, snowman and trees.

RRCB 220

I started by die cutting a window frame on the front of the card.  Then I opted to do something a bit different for me by creating the scene on the inside of the card.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 220 1

I stamped the fence and swag before adding and popping up the die cut tree and snowman.  These images are from my Papertrey Ink Fence Line Winter stamp set from 2018.

I added the sentiment (PTI Cozy Christmas 2016) and was done.  I like that the surprise is on the inside of the card!

Christmas For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a theme challenge to make a Christmas card.

#312 11.17.23

I started by die cutting the grid design in white.  I cut a piece of cherry cobbler to go behind the white.  But before I adhered them together, I ran the cherry cobbler through my sheet music impression plate.  It’s hard to see but you can just see the faint outlines of notes and staff.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 312 1

I then stamped the small stable and star.  I added the sentiment and some rhinestones to finish off the card.  Once it was done, I spent considerable time rethinking my color combinations but in the end, I decided to keep them.  To be honest, if I was to redo the card, I would have probably swapped out the stable color to cherry cobbler.  Hmmm…I guess I may not be as satisfied as I thought?  LOL!  Don’t you hate it when you start to second guess yourself?

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 219 1

I adhered to the card front, added the greeting and die cut with the deckled edges.  My sentiment came from Papertrey Ink Winter Village from 2016.  Quick, clean and simple – my favorite type of card!

Freezin's Greetings For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  We have a recipe challenge to use an embossing folder, holiday, ribbon/twine, die cut and pattern paper.

#311 11.3.23

I stamped and die cut this sweet image and colored using my alcohol markers.  I love using nontraditional colors for holiday cards and this little gal needed a pop or two of color!  I die cut and embossed some bubble bath paper for my backdrop.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 311 1

I stamped the sentiment and then die cut it and some pattern paper to back it.  I added a bit of twine and all of the requirements were satisfied!
