It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a color challenge to use balmy blue, pacific point and night of navy.

I started by stenciling a harlequin background out of crumbcake on a piece of vanilla cardstock that I then die cut.  I stamped the sentiment in night of navy and the flower out of balmy blue and pacific point.

I backed the flower with some pacific point pattern paper and then layered up on balmy blue and the night of navy card base.  A little dab of twine and I was done!

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a color challenge and celebrates colors of the 60s.  We need to use three of these colors – bright orange, green, pink, purple or yellow.

Both the sentiment and image are from Art Impressions Golden Oldies and are from 1996.  It’s hard to believe I have had them that long.  I stamped up the Eunice image and colored in with my alcohol markers.  I die cut around Eunice and a piece of granny apple green.

I stamped the sentiment and then cut a piece of pumpkin pie to back it.  I adhered everything to the crumbcake card base and added a bit of bling to finish off the card.

I had time this weekend to make up a card that fits three challenges.  I am playing along with The Paper Players (theme challenge of love and friendship), The Card Concept (I was inspired by the colors to make my clean and layered card) and Sunday Stamps (that provided the sketch)!

I dug out my PTI pack your bags stamp set that hasn’t seen the light of day in a long while for the sentiment and used my dies to cut two pieces of luggage that I adhered to a white card front.

I die cut the card front and a piece of pattern paper and arranged them according to the sketch.  Finally, I added the sentiment which could be used for love or friendship.  This was a fun card to make but it was because these three challenges worked beautifully together.

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s time for a color challenge of calypso coral, soft succulent, evening evergreen and crumbcake.

I started by stamping and die cutting the mimosa flowers in calypso coral and soft succulent.  I die cut a brick layer in the white and backed with evening evergreen.

I adhered everything together and then popped up the sentiment (stamped in evening evergreen) on the card.

I have not played along with any challenges in I don’t know how long but mojo struck so I thought I would give it a try!  I am playing along with the sketch from The Paper Players and the colors from The Card Concept.  It’s a clean and layered card and I am quite pleased with the results.

I started with stamping the fence in Sahara sand and soft suede directly on the card base.  I stamped the snowman in London fog and added the hat, arms, and face before die cutting it. 

I stamped, cut and then added the bits of garland and a couple of birds to the fence before adding the snowdrift and snowman.  The sentiment is contrary to a snowman’s wishes – he would want cold blessings!

This card really came together for both challenges – the sketch showcases the colors and wintery inspiration for the card.

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a color challenge to kick off the new year and we are using colors from the 1950s.  We have to use three of these five colors – pastel pink/yellow/green/blue/turquoise.

I opted for four of the colors and took advantage of using some 1950s style stamps as well.  These stamps are all from Pink Persimmon’s Hello Vintage Girl (2011), Style Girl (2012) and Classic Pattern (2013).  I stamped all the images and then colored in the scissors and the very stylish lady.

I die cut using a curved stitched die and then popped it up on a mint macaron base and was done!

I started by stamping trees?, leaves? from my Simon Says Stamp One With Nature stamp set from 2015.  I colored using the required colors and then die cut the images.

I stamped the sentiment and then ran the card base thru the linen plate before adding the images and a few dots.  Easy peasy.  Clean and simple.

I die cut some branches in white and then some stalks in granny apple green and blackberry bliss.  I die cut the market basked in silver.

I also die cut a rectangle and then layered everything on it.  I added the sentiment and was done.

I stamped this cute House Mouse image and colored using my alcohol markers.  I used all the colors plus a bit of blue and papaya for the mouse’s face.

I die cut the image using my stitched triangles and then popped up on a white base.  I added the sentiment and was done!

I stamped the hello sentiment from my SSS flip flop season stamp set from 2015.  I colored using pastel alcohol makers.

Then I stamped some confetti images in pastel colors using my PTI birthday cheer stamp set from 2015.  I die cut the hello and popped up over the confetti and was done!
