Easter

Easter Wishes For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a theme challenge to celebrate Easter.

#318 3.1.24

I don’t have a lot of Easter stamps but…I bought this cute bunny wreath a while back and voila…Easter!  This is a stamp and stencil set so first up was stenciling the bunnies, the flowers and the carrots.

The stamp portion is all of the greenery and sentiment.  I die cut the wreath and popped it up on some rustic white with the sentiment in the middle.  I added some sparkle and was done!

It’s a new challenge at As You See It.  It’s an Easter theme so here we go.

#246 3.19.2021

I started with some fun bunny related paper that I die cut and adhered to the white background.  I stamped the sentiment on another die cut and added a couple of white dots.

Retro Rubber Challenge 131...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s tic tac toe time!

RRCB 131

I opted for the diagonal baby animals/die cut/Easter.  I die cut a lil bunny out of pink pirouette.  Then I created some grass and popped up the bunny.  I added the sentiment and was done!

Uber CAS!  The sentiment was from my Clearly Besotted Message Me set from 2016.  It is truly a go to stamp set for me!

Blessed Easter...

Happy Friday! And welcome to a new As You See It challenge! Today we have another fun sketch for you to try.

#129 Mar 25 16

I opted to stamp five brushstroke images in varying colors and then add some bling to them.

I wanted the word Easter to pop out so I die cut it three times and then glued them together. I also die cut the card front with a stitched rectangle and adhered to the card base.

Retro Rubber Challenge #34 part two...

It’s the second week of the Retro Rubber Easter theme challenge so I decided to create something else for the challenge.

RRCB 34

I love this image from Papertrey Ink so I quickly stamped up these daisies and added an Easter sentiment. I layered the card front on crushed curry and then on a base of crumbcake. A few pearls was all it needed to finish it off.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 34 1 (529x640)

Funny thing – I had every intention of stamping and coloring a daffodil for this card but for whatever reason, I grabbed the daisies and didn’t realize until I was finished what I did! I may or may not be losing it! LOL!

I am also playing along with The Paper Players clean and simple challenge.  Their challenge is to celebrate spring.  So this may not seem too springy of a card but I just picked up some lovely yellow daisies at the store yesterday so maybe I am not so far off!

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to stop in tomorrow!

A Cork Bunny...

Happy Monday! Today’s card was put together for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by die cutting this cute lil bunny out of cork and then two eggs out of some pattern paper. I opted to go clean and layered by die cutting a couple of stitched rectangles to put the bunny and the eggs on.

I struggled with where to put the sentiment and finally decided on the side. I am probably a bit free and loose with the sketch but I am OK with that.

I would like to say a huge Thank you to the Fab Friday crew for picking THIS card as the Fab Fave last week! Talk about excited – I was!!

Retro Rubber Challenge #34...

Welcome to a new challenge at the Retro Rubber Challenge Blog! This time we have an Easter theme which can mean bunnies, eggs, candy, flowers, etc – anything Easter!

RRCB 34

I opted to do a simple bouquet of tulips. Instead of using my standard black to stamp the image, I grabbed my sahara sand and was so pleased with the softness of the image. Note to self: use sahara sand more often!

I used the colors from the Fab Friday challenge of blushing bride, mint macaron, and pool party. I originally colored the image with markers but I didn’t care for the result. So I tried a different option – I used a qtip and ran it across the ink pad before coloring the image. By doing that, it created a softer image, similar to what you would get when you use chalk. To add some background, I added a bit of pool party around the image.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 34 ff 1 (555x640)

This stamp came out in 2014 and I have used it a couple of times. I added the sentiment (which came out this year) and was done. A lovely single layer card that will be winging its way to my Aunt and Uncle for Easter. Funny thing – I didn’t realize until the card was done that I had used one old stamp and one new. But that is perfectly fine for the Retro Rubber challenge! You need one older stamp to qualify!

Now it’s your turn – whip up some sort of lovely Easter confection and link it up HERE to play along!

The Friday Mashup #203...

Hello!  Boy, do I have exciting news today!  For the month of April, I will be serving as a guest designer on The Friday Mashup challenge blog!  I am so excited and honored to be a part of this awesome group!  This is a challenge I play along with regularly so I am excited to be a part of the team!

Here is the challenge for this week:

  •  Create a project using "so saffron, pool party and calypso coral".
  • Create a project with "Easter Critters".
  • or Mash it Up! and create a project "using the colors above and Easter Critters".
Isn't this bunny cute?  I want to take him home!

For my card I opted to use both the colors and the Easter Critters.  And this is what I came up with.

A basketful of peeps!  Last year I purchased the woven basket die set from MFT but never got around to using it.  I started off by cutting the basket out of kraft and then using some rich cocoa memento ink to “age” the basket a bit.  I added score tape around the edges and curved the basket a bit to fit all the peeps in.

Www.seejanestamp.com TFM1(640x334)

I added some Easter grass in the basket and proceeded to stuff as many peeps as possible in there.  I cut the peeps using a die from this woven basket set out of so saffron, pool party and calypso coral.  I found my tall grassy die to add some grass for the basket to sit in.

Www.seejanestamp.com TFM2(640x285)

The tag is one that I purchased at an office supply store.  The sentiment is from an old whimsie doodle stamp set.  I layered everything up on the new PTI vanilla cream linen cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed my project today.  It was fun to make and definitely more fun to share with you all!  (I think my favorite part is the little ears that peek out above the basket.  These little guys just weren't tall enough to peek out of the basket *wink*!)

Be sure to play along with The Friday Mashup this week!
