Fill In The Blank Challenge

Life's A Beach For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  My favorite beach activity is collecting shells!

#328 7.19.24

I live in a landlocked state so I rarely visit the beach.  We have lakes of course, but I am not much of a water person no matter if it is the ocean or a lake.  But!  When I do visit the ocean, I love to collect sea shells.

I started by stamping some sand, shells and a bucket.  I die cut the shells and bucket then popped up on my card.  I added a summery sentiment and was done!

Apple Blossoms For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank challenge.  The color I use least in my crafting is...flirty flamingo!

#322 4.26.24

Confession:  This card was made for our previous challenge.  As I was making it - I had the thought that I never use flirty flamingo and shame on me because it is a lovely color!  You are probably wondering why I didn't post it for our last challenge...because I broke the rules and used green and two neutrals (white and brown) when you are allowed one neutral and only the four colors in the challenge.  I didn't have time to make another card so I had to sit out the challenge.  However...sometimes mistakes can become a card for the next challenge!

I stamped the apple harvest branch and colored the apples with my calypso coral and flirty flamingo blends.  I used crumbcake and granny apple green for the branch and leaves.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 321 1

I stamped the sentiment and some flowers that I colored with bubble bath and daffodil delight.  I fussy cut them and added to the card front.  I backed the white front with flirty flamingo then adhered to the calypso coral base.  I ended up making another card with flirty flamingo while I had the cardstock out.  That means I am probably good with this color for awhile.  LOL.

Enduring Beauty For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  My latest craft purchase is the enduring beauty stamp/stencils/dies set from Stampin’ Up!

#316 2.2.24

I used the stencils to create a soft floral image and then die cut.  This stencil set is amazing and is going to get some use from me.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 316 1

I die cut a piece of vellum to serve as my back drop and then added the floral image.  I stamped the sentiment and die cut along with some green leaves.  I layered everything together, added some pearls and twine and was done.

Vellum Does It...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  My favorite thing to do with vellum is emboss!

#310 10.20.23

I rarely use vellum, but when I do, I like to emboss it.  And then I wonder, why don’t I do this more often?  I started by stamping my image and coloring with alcohol markers.  I die cut the image and a piece of vellum to go over the top.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 310 1

I embossed the sentiment and then popped the whole thing over some gold thread and added some colored rhinestones.  What is your favorite way to use vellum?

Lemony Sunshine For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  The thing I love most about summer is spending time with friends and family and enjoying a nice cold drink!

#304 7.28.23

I dug out my brand new Stampin’ Up! So Refreshing stamp set to make this card.  I stamped the images and then die cut them.  I wanted to use summery colors – yellows for the summer sunshine and purple for summer flowers.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 304 1

I started with a light lemon lolly gingham background to set the scene.  Then I added a sprig of flowers and the cloth while layering everything else up.  What is your favorite thing about summer?  I look forward to seeing what you create!

New Additions For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  The most recent addition to my craft stash is:  cardstock in the SU! retiring colors of pale papaya, pear pizzazz and Sahara sand.

#298 5.5.23

I started by double stamping a vintage bottle in pale papaya and fussy cutting.  Then I die cut the dotted tag in all the colors and slotted some of the different dots in the tag.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 298 1

I layered everything up, added the sentiment and popped up the bottle.  I hate to see Sahara sand and pear pizzazz go – they have been trusty colors I have used a lot.  What’s your new addition?  Make a card and let us know!

Spooky Pumpkin Spice For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  For me, the spookiest thing on Halloween is always… pumpkin spice.  It’s a hard no from me on that flavor!

#286 10.21.2022

I started by stamping and die cutting a coffee cup in rustic cream with a mango melody lid and parakeet party straw.  I stamped the sentiment and then die cut the holder and attached to the cup.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 286 1

I stamped a spider web to add some spookiness and popped up the cup and added some dots and rhinestones.  This card is earmarked for a dear friend who lives for pumpkin spice season.  (A good friend overlooks bad taste – lol!)

#280 7.29.2022

I started with my stamp set from The Greetery and stamped all the flowers in bright tropical colors.  I did the greens in a traditional green and a bright green.

The Best Thing About Moms...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank.  The best thing about mothers is love!

#274 5.6.2022

I started by stamping and coloring mother and daughter images and then die cutting.  I die cut some pattern paper and the sentiment and then layered everything up.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 274 1

Moms lead us, teach us, cry with us and celebrate with us.  I miss my mom terribly and she did all of these and more.  She did it because she loved me.  She held my hand when I was young and I held hers when she got older.  Where you go, I go.  Love you and miss you mom!

Hedgies For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It is a fill in the blank challenge to name a favorite technique.  I have many favorites but went with coloring for this challenge.  Just like a lot of people, I find coloring very soothing!

#268 2.11.2022

I started with my happy hedgehogs stamps from SU!  I love me some hedgies!  I stamped up the scene and then used my alcohol markers to color away.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 268 1

I fussy cut the butterfly and popped up on the card after die cutting the images and backing with some daffodil delight pattern paper.  I stamped the sentiment and popped it up as well.  Finally, I added some dots and was done.
