Retro Rubber Challenge #78...

It’s a new year and a new challenge at the Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a color challenge – white on white with the use of one neutral.

RRCB 78

I really struggled with this challenge until I finally came up with this beauty.  I used a quilted impression plate and a mini scallop rectangle to die cut this “quilt”.

I added a sentiment and then popped the quilt up on the white card base.  My sentiment stamp is from the 2008 Papertrey Ink Quilters Sampler sentiments.  I love this card!

I started by using a couple of my favorite stamp sets – Clearly Besotted Sunburst from 2015 and PTI Be from 2016.  I stamped three circle images in different colors and then added the words to each circle.

Friends For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  We have a sketch challenge for you and it’s a fun one!!

#158 9.8.17

I started by stamping the sentiment and die cutting the rectangle and running it thru the linen impression plate.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 158 1 (563x640)

By using some lemon lime twist and tranquil tide inks and mixing them into embossing paste, I ran the paste over a stencil and waited for it to dry.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 158 2 (640x477)

I sponged the lemon lime and tranquil tide inks onto a white doily before layering everything according to the sketch.  A bit of linen thread finished off my card.

I started by using a dotted die to cut circles across the card base and adding some fun stripey paper behind the circles.

Using the colors in the paper, I stamped three flowers and then added the sentiment. I used stamp sets from Neat and Tangled – the flowers were from a set from 2016 and the sentiment was from a set from 2015.

I started with some die cuts of paper dolls – girls, boys, and boys and girls. I die cut them in different colors and then adhered to the card front.

Kindred Spirits...

I have a fun one layer card for you today! And quite by accident, it happens to fit the Paper Players challenge of a CAS card with flowers.

I stamped this sweet image and used my colored pencils and some chalk to showcase the image.

Www.seejanestamp.com pp 1 (546x640)

I used a sentiment from a different stamp set because I love the saying and thought it perfectly described two creatures that shouldn’t be friends but are! Just like real life!

You've Got A Friend In Me...

Today’s card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge. And it allowed me to use my brand new super cute stamp set from SU! I have also been singing the song “you’ve got a friend in me” from Toy Story ever since I created this card! So don’t be surprised if you start singing it too!

I started by stamping the image on white and then coloring with my pencils and adding a bit of chalk around the image.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms 1 (549x640)

Then I backed the image with a piece of poppy parade and some plaid paper before adhering to a card base of white. A trip thru the linen impression plate completed the card.

Www.seejanestamp.com fms 2 (640x398)

Thanks for stopping by today! Be sure to pop in tomorrow!

Supplies: CS: PTI white. SU! poppy parade. Lawn Fawn Christmas plaid. Stamps: SU! Bella and Friends. Other: PTI linen impression plate. Colored pencils and chalk. Memento black ink.

Cherish Friendship...

I think my colored pencils are going to be a permanent fixture on my craft table. I seem to be using them more and more as of late! And today is no exception.

Www.seejanestamp.com 7 (532x640)

I stamped my image and then colored it in. I added a bit of blue chalk around the image and a little gray chalk on the floor. The chalk is fairly dark when you view the card in real life and after I took my photos, it hardly shows up!

Www.seejanestamp.com 8 (640x545)

I die cut a curved edge on the white cardstock and then did the same to the pattern paper I added underneath. After I popped up the front on the base, I added the sentiment. The sentiment comes from the SU! mixed drinks stamp set. And although it was intended to pair with the drink images, I think the saying is appropriate any time!
