It’s the second week of the Retro Rubber Challenge! It’s anything goes so be sure to play along!

I thought I would whip up a fall leaf wreath! Say that three times fast! I used the PTI twig wreath stamp set and got to work.

I stamped the wreath and then added a variety of branches and some leaves. I added the sentiment and then trimmed the card front down to fit on the card base.

A quick CAS card for Friday! And a one layer card for the One Layer Simplicity challenge which wanted us to go retro!

I busted out my brand new retro thank you stamps and set to work. I stamped a few images in retro colors and then added the sentiment.

I ran the card thru the linen impression plate and added a few enamel dots and rhinestones to finish it off.

It’s Thursday already and here I am wondering where the week went! For once I am early and have a birthday card done for a friend of mine who will celebrate next week. She loves wine and so I had to make a wine inspired card.

I started by stamping a wine opener in calypso coral and then die cutting. I also die cut a double stitched rectangle and adhered to the card base along with a stripe of pattern paper.

I popped up the wine opener and added the sentiment. I am entering this card in the Inspired By All The Little Things and Fab Friday.

I have been seeing beautiful sunflowers all over town and that inspired me to dig out a sunflower stamp and see what I could do with it.  I heat embossed the image in black on watercolor paper. And using distress inks, watercolored the image.

I cut down the paper and backed it with a piece of crushed curry and then adhered to a kraft base. The sentiment was chosen based on its length as I planned to stamp it up the side of the image and wanted something that would balance well.

I am entering my card in the Inspired By All The Little Things challenge.

Hello there! I am continuing my sailing theme with a super clean and simple card. I will be entering this in The Curtain Call challenge as well.

I started by stamping five real red stripes and then adding the sentiment. I am using the sketch from the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge that closed yesterday. I knew I wouldn’t make the cut but I loved the sketch and wanted to see what I could create!

I ran the single layer card thru the linen impression plate and added some bling.

I focused on the flamingos (natch!) and used this super cute flamingos at the beach image from Great Impressions. I colored with my zig markers and then added some chalk around the image.

My sentiment is from Great Impressions as well – and says it all! I added a bit of chalk to this as well!

Happy Monday! It feels forever since I have said that! I have missed my crafty time and blogging! I hope to be back on schedule with a post Monday thru Friday. Although as I write this, I only have Monday thru Wednesday covered!

Today’s card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge and pairs nicely with The Card Concept challenge of spring flowers!  And it ties in nicely with the Addicted to CAS challenge - code word plaid! 

I started by stamping this wonderful daffodil flower and using chalks to color it in with a bit of chalk around the flower as well. My favorite spring flowers have to be daffodils, lilacs, and tulips! They look so happy!

I flipped the sketch a bit by putting my plaid paper and soft sky trim on the right side with the image and sentiment on the left. I ran the card front thru the linen impression plate and thru the scallop rectangle die before popping up on crumbcake.

Welcome to the new House of Cards challenge! This month we are asking you to use vellum or acetate on your cards. Fun!

I started by stamping a variety of images on wild wasabi with versamark. Then I die cut the printed piece of vellum with a stitched fishtail die and layered on top of the card base.

I added this fun sticker sentiment and some candy dots and rhinestones to finish off the card. Easy peasy!

Welcome to the second week of the Retro Rubber Challenge – it’s raining! I whipped up today’s card using the sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch and the colors inspired by the Card Concept challenge.

I die cut this fun rainbow in very nontraditional colors – watermelon wonder, blushing bride and cucumber crush. I heat embossed the sentiment on vellum and then added the rainbow and a couple of clouds.

I added the blue striped paper which I thought was perfect for water or sky and then layered everything on vanilla linen paper. I really loved the colors in the Card Concept inspiration photo and thought what I put together worked.

Happy Monday! Today’s card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge and for the Card Concept (clean and layered) inspiration challenge.

I started by stamping off the palm frond twice before stamping on the card front. Then I added the sentiment in full strength ink. I added a piece of black on one side and the pattern paper on the other.

I ran everything thru the linen impression plate (natch!) and layered everything on the card base. At the last minute I remembered I needed something in the upper right side so I added the candy dots.

I had just finished the first run of this card when I discovered red ink on my hand that I had smeared all over the card! So I did a quick redo and that is what you see here.
