Then I stamped my sentiment (from Simon Says Stamp Choose Happy circa 2016) and die cut it using a pierced oval.  I die cut a piece of soft sky with the pierced rectangle and layered everything together.

Distressed For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  We have a recipe challenge and are charged with using watercolor, floral stamps, bright colors, pattern paper and a punch/die.

#281 8.12.2022

I started by watercoloring a background of bright pink.  I then stamped a black daisy image on it.  It came out distressed looking so when life gives you lemons…I decided to embrace the distress!  I grabbed some kraft cardstock for the base and roughed up the edges a bit as well as die cutting the daisy image with my deckled edges die.  Using some granny apple green pattern paper, I die cut a stitched jumbo fishtail and attached to the card base.  I attempted to distress the edges a bit but the pattern paper is thin so I gave up quickly!

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 281 1

I had great debate about adding a sentiment.  By happy accident, I found one that had a bit of a distress to it which I didn’t notice at first.  I stamped the sentiment and started to panic!  I thought I had moved the sentiment and messed up the whole card – but – that is exactly the way the stamp is supposed to look – old fashioned typed lettering that is a bit off.  See, happy accident!  I popped up the daisy image then added a bit of black bling and was done.
