It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a color challenge to use starry sky, mango melody, parakeet party and black on your card.

I went super clean and simple with puzzle pieces and a sentiment.  I die cut a puzzle piece in each of the colors and then connected them together.  I added the sentiment and was done.

I love to do puzzles and am looking forward to a turn in the weather to have an excuse to puzzle!

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s anything goes!

I started by stamping a boxwood heart with calypso coral and blushing bride.  The boxwood heart is from The Greetery in February 2021.  I die cut it and then die cut a deco piece so that it can serve as the background.

I die cut love twice to add some depth and then put everything together.  My final two steps were the always and forever from the boxwood stamp set and some bling.   I now have one wedding card should I need it this summer!

I started by stamping and coloring mother and daughter images and then die cutting.  I die cut some pattern paper and the sentiment and then layered everything up.

Moms lead us, teach us, cry with us and celebrate with us.  I miss my mom terribly and she did all of these and more.  She did it because she loved me.  She held my hand when I was young and I held hers when she got older.  Where you go, I go.  Love you and miss you mom!

I had time this weekend to make up a card that fits three challenges.  I am playing along with The Paper Players (theme challenge of love and friendship), The Card Concept (I was inspired by the colors to make my clean and layered card) and Sunday Stamps (that provided the sketch)!

I dug out my PTI pack your bags stamp set that hasn’t seen the light of day in a long while for the sentiment and used my dies to cut two pieces of luggage that I adhered to a white card front.

I die cut the card front and a piece of pattern paper and arranged them according to the sketch.  Finally, I added the sentiment which could be used for love or friendship.  This was a fun card to make but it was because these three challenges worked beautifully together.

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  We are celebrating love this time with a theme challenge!

I stuck with my clean and simple style and die cut three stitched triangles in coordinating paper.  Then I stamped and die cut a boxwood heart.  The stamps are from The Greetery Mini Boxwood Heart from January 2021.

I stamped the sentiment from Clearly Besotted Message Me (2016) on a piece of scrap, cut the ends and weaved into the heart.  I popped both the heart and sentiment up and was done!

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a theme challenge to celebrate pets.

I don’t have a pet but I am a dog lover so I stamped up this little cutie and colored him in.  I die cut a stitched circle in the card front and popped up over the image.

I stamped my sentiment, cause who doesn’t want hugs and kisses from your pet?, added a few dots and was done!

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  We are charged with making a masculine card.

I struggled with this challenge and ended up making two cards and opted to go with this one.  Father’s day is right around the corner.

I stamped the father and son images and then colored.  I stamped the sentiment and popped it up.  This time of year makes me miss my dad the most and wish for the days that I could hold his hand.

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  A fun tic tac toe.  I opted for the pinks or reds/heat embossing/romantic occasion.

I started by heat embossing the image in black and then coloring using my alcohol markers in rococo rose and old olive.  The image is from The Greetery Sketchbook Roses from 2019.

I die cut the image and then popped up on the card base.  I finished by adding the sentiment.  Although this doesn’t have a specific romantic occasion, I quite like the idea of a surprise romantic card.

I started by stamping the mistletoe image in wild wasabi and garden green with some creamy berries.  Then I die cut and added a poppy parade ribbon.

I added a bit of textured Sahara sand to the gray card base before adding the mistletoe.

Welcome to a new challenge at Retro Rubber!  It’s a color challenge to use black, grey, white and red.

I started by die cutting a heart out of cherry cobbler and adhering to the white base.  I die cut two thermoses out of cherry cobbler plaid and grey plaid before adding a black lid/cup.

Finally I added the sentiment (from PTI Cozy Christmas from 2016) and some bling.  This card takes me back to my childhood and when my dad would head out to work on the farm he always had his thermos of coffee.  I miss those days!
