Retro Rubber Challenge 215...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s an inspiration challenge to make a card using fall related stamps and/or papers.

RRCB 215

I started out by stenciling a large maple leaf in crushed curry and die cut using my deckled rectangles.  Then I die cut a smaller maple leaf that I had embossed with some wood grain and two tiny leaves.

I stamped the sentiment from Papertrey Ink’s Autumn Hills set from 2012 on a die cut ship lap.  Then I layered everything together, added some speckled dots and was done!

Hobbies For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a speed challenge to tell us about your hobbies!

#307 9.8.23

I love to read and actually made a card with the one book stamp I have.  But I didn't like it.  So I changed to my other favorite hobby - cardmaking!  I have had this particular image for a while and it suits this challenge quite nicely.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 307 1

I stamped my image and sentiment, colored in with my alcohol markers and layered it up.  It was meant to have some dots but I knew I couldn't get them on in time so I stopped with 5 seconds to spare!

Beaches For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a theme challenge to use make a beach card.

#306 8.25.23

I started by stamping some palm trees and then die cutting them in a stitched triangle shape.    I stamped a little bit of sand and used some chalks to create a little sun and blue sky.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 306 1

I stamped the jeep and then fussy cut.  I was feeling the vibe of someone who drives their jeep to the beach so they can surf.  I grew up landlocked so I have no idea what that actually feels like.  Lol.   I adhered everything to the card base and added the sentiment and was done!

Retro Rubber Challenge 213...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a theme challenge to make a card with rainbows or use rainbow colors!

RRCB 213

I started by stamping this sweet image from My Favorite Things Pure Innocence Freckles.  I have had this stamp for over 5 years – probably longer.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 213 1

I used my alcohol markers to color her in using the colors of the rainbow.  I added a little gray under her feet to ground her and a little chalky blue around her (which did not photo well).  A sentiment popped up and I was done.

Mellow Yellow For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  We have a recipe challenge to use a circle, thank you sentiment, pattern paper, enamel dots, a die cut and shades of yellow.

#305 8.11.23

A tall order!  I started by stamping some different pattern leaves in shades of yellow.  It’s hard to see the difference but I used crushed curry, daffodil delight and bumblebee.  I added the sentiment and then die cut.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 305 1

I die cut a couple more circles out of daffodil delight and crushed curry pattern paper.  I layered everything and added the dots.  All ingredients accounted for!

RRCB 212

I originally made this card for challenge 209 which was the summer theme challenge but ended up doing a different card for that one instead.  So this just slid right into the anything goes challenge.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 212 1

I stamped and die cut my Ferris wheel and a couple of tickets.  I used my Lawn Fawn Admit One stamp set from 2014.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 212 2

Lemony Sunshine For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  The thing I love most about summer is spending time with friends and family and enjoying a nice cold drink!

#304 7.28.23

I dug out my brand new Stampin’ Up! So Refreshing stamp set to make this card.  I stamped the images and then die cut them.  I wanted to use summery colors – yellows for the summer sunshine and purple for summer flowers.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 304 1

I started with a light lemon lolly gingham background to set the scene.  Then I added a sprig of flowers and the cloth while layering everything else up.  What is your favorite thing about summer?  I look forward to seeing what you create!

Retro Rubber Challenge 211...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a tic tac toe and I opted for emboss, die cut and beach.

RRCB 211

I started by stamping a post in crumbcake and then heat embossing the lines onto the post.  I added some sand and grasses to build the beach scene.  These are from Papertrey Ink’s fence line summer stamps from 2018.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 211 1

I stamped a bucket, die cut, popped it up and added the sentiment (from PTI’s floating by circa 2022).  A beachy one-layer card – easy peasy!

Up! For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a color challenge to use poppy parade, Tahitian tide, gray granite and crumbcake.

#303 7.14.23

I started by digging out one of my favorite stamp sets – Stampin’ Up!’s Bella & Friends.  I love the images so much!  So I got to working stamping my image and coloring using my alcohol markers.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 303 1

I die cut a piece of gray granite to create a frame for this sweet image and then popped it up on a gray granite base.  I got all of my required colors in and am super happy with this sweet card.  A few rhinestones for bling and I was done!

Trust In Faith...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fun sketch challenge!

#302 6.30.23

I started by die cutting a couple of stitched vertical strips and then ended up layering them.  That wasn’t my original intent but I couldn’t decide what width I like better so when in doubt – layer!

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 302 1

I knew I wanted a fairly large and bold floral so that I could stamp my sentiment over it and ended up finding this old hydrangea bloom.  I stamped it in bubble bath and love it!  I added the sentiment and then die cut the wonky frame.  I layered everything up and was done!
