September Pals Blog Hop...

2016badge-moss

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for September 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month our projects represent our favorite year end Season. It may be Autumn, Winter, Halloween, Thanksgiving or Christmas (and maybe even a combination!) We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Hello all! I am celebrating the Christmas season! I used two of my favorite Christmas stamp sets to create today’s card! Not to mention all of that gorgeous copper!

Www.seejanestamp.com sept blog hop 1 (580x640)

I started by stamping the stars from the Be Jolly By Golly stamp set in versamark and then heat embossing them in copper embossing powder. I repeated this process a second time to get a nice thick emboss. Using a sentiment and the light marks from the Star Of Night set, I stamped the sentiment and then the light marks around the most prominent star.

Www.seejanestamp.com sept blog hop 2 (640x412)

I did a bit of splattering using old olive, elegant eggplant, and crushed curry inks before cutting the card front down to accommodate the strips of copper foil and elegant eggplant cardstock on an old olive base.

I love the simplicity and elegance of this card and hopefully it inspires you to mix and match some of your Christmas stamp sets!

June Pals Blog Hop...

2016badge-lagoon

We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are featuring projects that are based on “B“ themes such as Birthday, Bride or Baby. We hope to provide you with lots of ideas and that you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Hello all! I am so glad you are hopping along with us today! My B word today is birthday! I have been wanting to play with the Balloon Builders stamp set and since I needed a birthday card anyway – two birds, one stone!

Www.seejanestamp.com june pals 1 (508x640)

I started by creating the balloon wiener dog with several of these builder stamps. I tried quite a number of different balloons until I got the shape of the dog I wanted. Perseverance pays off!

Www.seejanestamp.com june pals 2 (640x534)

Next I stamped the balloon and drew the string. Finally, using some ink and a cotton ball, added the sky and ground. I decided to keep the diagonal going by placing the sentiment at a diagonal as well. A fun, whimsical card for the party animal in your life!

February Pals Blog Hop...

2016badge-watermelon

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for February 2016. We are thankful you stopped by to take a look at our new 2016 Blog Hop monthly themes.  This month we are CASE-ing a project shown in a current Stampin’ Up! catalog. After all, with the Annual, Occasions and Sale-a-Bration catalogs available right now, there is much inspiration to choose from. We hope you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

How fun is this blog hop! I am casing the peach card project on page 47 of the Occasions Catalog! I thought it was a fun card that I could switch up and make in to a romantic card!

Www.seejanestamp.com pals blog hop feb 1 (545x640)

I used the dots and stripes stencils and some cherry cobbler ink to stencil my background and then added the splatter stamp from Timeless Textures. I stamped the sentiment and then used my circle framelits to die cut it and a piece of cherry cobbler to back the sentiment.

Www.seejanestamp.com pals blog hop feb 2 (640x341)

Using the banner die from the large numbers framelits and some glitter paper (glitter alert!) I cut the banner and placed underneath my circles along with some metallic silver thread. I added that cute red heart using my confetti heart punch. That’s it! From Peaches to Romance!

December Pals Blog Hop...

BH 1

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for December; we are thankful you stopped by.  This month we are showcasing projects that feature Stampin’ Up! products that should be on everyone’s wish list. We hope you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or may have come from the previous link from the Line-up on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you may see all the projects.

Merry Christmas everyone! I wanted to do something that felt a little retro. And this paper definitely fit the bill. I also wanted to create a card that could be easily mass produced for my Christmas cards this year! I covered two thirds of the card front with the dsp and then added a strip of real red to cover the edges and allow the opportunity to add some bling to the card.

Www.seejanestamp.com dec blog hop 1 (532x640)

The tags and labels framelits made the perfect foil for the sentiment. After stamping, I flipped the tag before cutting so that the scalloped edges would be at the bottom of the sentiment. A second tag in real red helps draw your eye to the sentiment as well.  Pearls, rhinestones and candy dots finish off the card.

November Pals Blog Hop...

2015badge-2

Welcome to the Pals November Blog Hop, we’re so thankful you stopped by.  This month we’re showcasing projects that feature Stampin’ Up! Thanksgiving and “Thank You” products.  We hope you enjoy our creations.

You may just be starting the Blog Hop or you may have come from the previous blog on the Pals Blog Hop listing shown below.  The full lineup will help you move along from blog to blog so you can enjoy each and every beautiful project.

Welcome! Today I made this fun clean and simple card for you! I started by using one of the Bohemian Borders to create the pattern on the very vanilla cardstock. I opted to use a bit of an ombre effect in my colors by using four dark inks and then four light inks. After stamping, I decided this card could use a bit of texture and instead of using an embossing folder, I pulled out my trusty simply scored scoring board and made a tiny grid pattern.

Www.seejanestamp.com nov blog hop 1 (528x640)

I spotlighted the sentiment made with the washi tape punch by adding a bit of Bermuda bay cardstock on the edges. A bit of silver cording and a mixture of rhinestones, candy dots, and enamel dots add a bit of bling to the card. Although I started off by using traditional Thanksgiving colors, the Bermuda bay brings a bit of an unexpected element to the card and gives it just the zing it needs!

October Pals Blog Hop...

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for October where we are celebrating an early Fall season by sharing Halloween and Autumn projects using our wonderful Stampin’ Up! supplies.  We hope you enjoy our creations!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Ronna Butt at www.cardstockcastle.com, number 13 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Hello all!  I am glad you could join us today!  Today’s card is very CAS and celebrates acorns!  I am not sure when it happened but I have developed a sudden affinity for acorns!  I could hardly wait to get my hands on the acorn punch!

Www.seejanestamp.com blog hop 1 (562x640)

I ran a piece of so saffron, crumbcake, and thicker white thru the woodgrain embossing folder.  Then I punched out the acorns from the saffron and crumbcake and glued together.  If you haven’t tried the new fine line glue – you should – I am in love with this stuff!

Www.seejanestamp.com blog hop 2 (640x488)

I added linen thread and a couple of pearls to the acorns.  I glued one acorn to the white cardstock and popped the other up a bit for some dimension.  I stamped the sentiment (before I ran thru the embossing folder), added a candy dot and was done.

Thanks for stopping and enjoy the rest of your hop!

August Pals Blog Hop...

2015badge-4

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for August.  This month we are showing off our favorite crafting tools – those Stampin’ Up! tools that we just can’t live without.  We hope you enjoy our projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Debra Simonis at Deb’s Stampin’ Grounds, number 16 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Hello all!  I am showing off a tool that is probably overlooked more often than not!  I know this because I ignore it quite a bit myself!  That tool is the Simply Scored scoring board!  I originally used the simply scored for my fold line on my card bases.  Then the new trimmer came out and my simply scored fell to the wayside.  But today’s the day that I am going to encourage you to revisit this helpful tool!

Www.seejanestamp.com blog hop 1 (1) (591x640)

The simply scored comes in handy for adding extra details to your cards with lines to accent parts or all of your card.  I added score lines at ¼” and ½” on all four sides.  This will draw your attention to the center of the card and its lovely images and embellishments.  The score lines also help to add texture but won’t add bulk when you are mailing your card!

Www.seejanestamp.com blog hop 2 (1) (640x373)

If you have this tool – take advantage – get crazy and add some lines to your next card!  PS - although this isn't my favorite tool - it is right up there!

July Pals Blog Hop...

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for July.  This month we are excited to show off the new 2015 - 2017 Stampin' Up! In Colors, namely, Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron, Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. The In Color products include card stock, designer series paper, ribbon and other embellishments.  We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from the lovely Denise Hoepfner at The Mountain Magpie, number 27 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Today I am sharing my love of three of the new in colors!  I absolutely adore Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macaron, and Delightful (or delicious as I like to call it!) Dijon!  These colors pair nicely together and could work for any type of card!  Can you imagine a Christmas card using these colors?  Beautiful!

Www.seejanestamp.com blog hop 1 (566x640)

I am happily taking advantage of three things, a sketch I recently saw that I adored, the awesome Awesomely Artistic stamp set and the sentiments from the Cottage Greetings stamp set (love these fonts!!).  I started off with the splotchy stamp from the Awesomely Artistic set and with the help of versamark, made a pattern from corner to corner on the Mint Macaron.  Then I glued the mint panel to the base layer of tip top taupe.

Www.seejanestamp.com blog hop 2 (640x325)

Using the new thicker whisper white, I stamped the ferns and dragonfly using second generation stamping (in other words – I inked the stamp and stamped off once on scratch paper before applying to the whisper white).  I added the birthday greeting in tip top taupe ink to finish off the image for the card.  With my circle framelits, I die cut the white and a piece of delicious! Dijon, offsetting the circles and cutting off one side of the circle.  I took advantage of the new gold metallic thread to make some loops to surround the circles.  Then it was just a matter of popping the circles up on the card base and adding some pearls.  It was that easy!

June Pals Blog Hop...

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for June.  This month we are excited to show off new Stampin' Up! products from the just released 2015 - 2016 annual catalog.  We hope you find great inspiration from the projects.  Get your wish list ready!

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Deb Cozzone at Deb Cozzone's Stamping Zone, number 14 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Hello all!  The new catalog is jam packed with goodies but my favorite new item is the Bohemian Borders stamp set.  There is so much that you can do with this– create backgrounds, create borders, or add just that little bit of oomph that your project needs!

Www.seejanestamp.com 3 (533x640)

Today’s card starts with patterned paper that I made using some of the boho borders and the border stamp from the Butterfly Basics stamp set.  I used two of the delicious new in colors – tip top taupe and delightful Dijon (which I want to call delicious Dijon – I can’t seem to help myself!)  I paired those two colors with Bermuda bay and rich razzleberry for a muted color scheme.

Www.seejanestamp.com 4 (640x371)

Once my background paper was finished, I layered it up on matching cardstock.  I added a small piece of Dijon that I ran thru the equally awesome boho chic embossing folder and topped off with a flagged sentiment, also stamped in Dijon.  I finished my card with a spot of the new Dijon lace trim, linen thread and clothespin.  Can you tell I like the new color Dijon?  Way more than I thought I would and I think you will too!

May Pals Blog Hop

Welcome to the Pals Blog Hop for May where we are preparing for the retirement of some Stampin' Up! products.  Though it may be goodbye to some very loved supplies, it will make room for the much anticipated new catalog products.  We hope you enjoy the Pals' creative projects.

You may just be starting the blog hop or may have come from Debra Simonis at Deb's Stampin' Grounds, number 21 on the Pals Hop.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Hello all!  Today I am saying good bye to the angled tag topper punch, blooming with kindness and the in-colors!  I know, that is a lot to say good bye to!
