A Recipe For AYSI...

It’s time for a new As You See It challenge!  It’s a fun recipe card challenge.

#222 3.27.20

I started by die cutting a diagonal tag.  I ran it plus the card base thru the linen plate for some texture. aysi 222 1 (535x640)

Then I die cut some leaves and a flower out of pattern paper as well as one out of solid cardstock.  I adhered the tag to the base after adding some thick twine. aysi 222 2 (640x445)

Finally I added the sentiment and bling.

Inspiring Words For AYSI...

Welcome to the first As You See It Challenge of 2020!  It’s a recipe challenge to use silver, snowflakes, dry embossing, rhinestones and an inspiring sentiment.

#216 1.3.20

I started by stamping some snowflakes in light gray and then stamping the sentiment over the top in black ink. aysi 216 1 (575x640)

I added a piece of silver cardstock and then ran the card front thru the tin types impression plate.  After that, I die cut using a stitched rectangle and adhered to the black card base. aysi 216 2 (640x401)

Finally I added the rhinestones and was done!  Just a note, these photos may look a little dark – when I lighted them up, the silver was too reflective and made the dry embossing even harder to see.  (The pattern is a stitched diamond and inverted dots at the edges of the diamond.)

Healing For AYSI...

Welcome to a new As You See It Challenge!  It is a recipe challenge and you must use twine, a tag, a leaf, a die cut and make it a get well card.

#210 9.27.19

I knocked off three items by die cutting a tag and a leaf.  I left a couple of spaces in the leaf so that you could see the white background. aysi 210 1 (494x640)

I wrapped some twine around the base and added a bit of twine to the tag.  Then I die cut a strip of white so that I could put my get well wishes on.  I put everything together and was done. aysi 210 2 (640x382)

A July Christmas For AYSI...

We have a fun new challenge at As You See It!  And it’s one that I created – we have a recipe challenge for you.  Use the following on your card:  die cut, red, stars, ribbon and make it a Christmas card.

#204 7.5.19

I wiped out three of those requirements in one move – a red star die cut. aysi 204 1 (531x640)

Then I added a bit of silver ribbon and a holiday sentiment and was done!  I used my spray adhesive to adhere the star to the card front and it looks a little cobwebby.  LOL. aysi 204 2 (640x453)
