Daffodils For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  This is a fill in the blank challenge.  My favorite first flower of spring is daffodils.  I know it’s finally spring when I see them!

I started by stamping the daffodils, leaves and fillers and then colored them with my alcohol inks.  I die cut and then adhered to the card base. aysi 250 1

Retro Rubber Challenge 144...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s anything goes!

I started by using the blooming branch stamp set from The Greetery (April 2019).  I stamped the layers and then die cut. rrcb 144 1 (586x640)

I popped up the die cut and added this beautiful sentiment (from Papertrey Ink walk by faith - 2016) and was done!  Clean and simple. rrcb 144 2 (640x474)

A fun new sketch challenge is at hand at As You See It!

I started with cutting some pattern papers and backing them with island indigo cardstock.  I placed the papers according to the sketch. aysi 195 1 (538x640)

Then I stamped my sentiment and backed it with a bit of pattern paper.  I adhered it to the paper and added a bit of silver ribbon and a button. aysi 195 2 (640x473)

Finally a bit of bling and island indigo dots.

Retro Rubber Challenge 71...

Welcome to a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s Anything Goes!


I started by stamping a couple of berry images in two shades of pink and green. rrcb 71 1 (561x640)

Then I added the sentiment from the Reverse Confetti The Lord’s Strength stamp set from 2016.  I die cut and then layered over another diecut circle for a bit of interest. rrcb 71 2 (640x466)

I added a few enamel dots and was done!

Faith Hope Love...

Today I am playing along with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge and the Fab Friday color challenge.

I stamped four leaves in peekaboo peach, mint macaron, calypso coral and so saffron. Using the stitched ovals from SU!, I die cut an oval and stamped the sentiment.  Then I backed the oval with a scalloped oval out of calypso coral. cts ff 1 (507x640)

I added some pearls and dots and was done. cts ff 2 (640x436)

I used my Clearly Besotted With Love stamp set for the tulip and vase. Then I ran the card thru the linen impression plate.

Red And White...

So I actually had time to play along with the Paper Players again this week! Yay! It was a fun sketch challenge and when I saw it, I thought stencil!

I dug thru my stencils for a poinsettia stencil and using my embossing paste, created a panel on a piece of cherry cobbler. pp 1 (584x640)

Then I die cut a stitched circle, added a sentiment and a button and some twine. I love the contrast of the paste on the red! pp 2 (640x459)

Be Still...

Today’s card was made for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.

I started by die cutting pattern paper with my mini scallop stitched square. I also die cut a piece of white cardstock and then added the sentiment. fms 1 (535x640)

I die cut the fishtail flag, added some twine, and layered everything according to the sketch. fms 2 (640x357)

SAF Starry Night...

So the starry night challenge was next and we were supposed to do some ink blending and watercoloring. As I didn’t have the heart to do the whole background, I opted to do just a small portion and love how it turned out. saf starry 1 (529x640)

I watercolored with some of the PTI inks and then added in some trees in the left corner. I added some drops of water and then dried the paper. saf starry 2 (640x410)

I die cut Lord three times and adhered together before placing on the card over some gold thread. I added a few sequins and the rest of the sentiment and was done!

Next – there’s gold in them in thar hills!

The Lord Is A Sun...

I whipped up this fun card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge!

I added some pattern paper to a so saffron card base and then added a bit of black between the two pieces. fms 1 (531x640)
