I have not played along with any challenges in I don’t know how long but mojo struck so I thought I would give it a try!  I am playing along with the sketch from The Paper Players and the colors from The Card Concept.  It’s a clean and layered card and I am quite pleased with the results.

I started with stamping the fence in Sahara sand and soft suede directly on the card base.  I stamped the snowman in London fog and added the hat, arms, and face before die cutting it. 

I stamped, cut and then added the bits of garland and a couple of birds to the fence before adding the snowdrift and snowman.  The sentiment is contrary to a snowman’s wishes – he would want cold blessings!

This card really came together for both challenges – the sketch showcases the colors and wintery inspiration for the card.

It’s a new year and a new challenge at As You See It!  A lovely sketch challenge to kick off the year!

I started by die cutting two triangles, one in white and one in pattern paper.  I cut the base down to make a 4 X 4 card to create a cozier looking card.

I stamped the jar, fish, ribbon and sentiment and then die cut and adhered together.  I used a bit of pool party for the water in the jar.  I popped the jar and sentiment up and added some clear dots to look like bubbles.  I quite like how it all came together.

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  A lovely sketch challenge!

I die cut three pieces of various pattern paper with my shiplap die.  I stamped and colored my llama image from Lawn Fawn Winter Alpaca circa 2015.  I die cut the llama and the little triangle banner and was ready to put the card together.

I adhered the pattern paper, stamped the sentiment and then added my llama and banner along with a bit of bling.  I was super excited how this all came together for the sketch!

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  Time for a sketch challenge so I went with a fall theme.

I stamped my branch and leaves in rich cocoa and then used alcohol markers to color.  I drew inspiration from the pattern paper for the leaves.

I die cut the card front and then added a piece of early espresso to back it and the sentiment strip. I continued that theme with my pattern paper.  A bit of bling and I was done.

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  We have a lovely sketch this time around.

I started by stamping and die cutting my coffee cup image from my Stampin’ Up! Merry Café stamp set from 2017.  I stamped the sentiment and then die cut to put on the coffee cup instead of below the image.

I die cut a curved edge and added some pattern paper to make the basic part of the sketch and then added the coffee cup.  I used some punched leaves and a bit of bling to take the place of the sentiment since I used that on the coffee holder.

I was quite pleased with the outcome but full truth – totally not a fan of pumpkin spice.  I love the color and pumpkins but it’s a firm no to the flavor.  So for all of you pumpkin spice lovers – this one’s for you!

I die cut a piece of ombre patterned paper and adhered to the card base.

I stamped and die cut the lighthouse and then did the sentiment.  I like the pairing of colors between the ombre and the green stripes.  I added a few birds and was done.

I started by die cutting some pattern paper and a square of crumb cake that I ran thru my woodgrain embossing folder.

I stamped and die cut this beautiful bird and twig from my Papertrey Ink Spring Woods stamp set from 2016.  I added the sentiment, layered everything up according to the sketch and was done!

I started by stamping the flowers in calypso coral and pear pizzazz.  The image is from the Papertrey Ink Flower Favorites stamp set from 2015.  I also stamped the sentiment which is from My Favorite Things Delicate Pretty Poppies from 2016.

I backed the images with a piece of calypso coral cardstock and then distressed the edges a bit.  I added a piece of coral, doily and button to complete the sketch.

I started by stamping this cute little elephant image and coloring with my alcohol markers.  I stamped the sentiment and die cut using my wonky stitched rectangles before backing with a piece of purple posy.

I cut a strip of white card stock, added two eyelets and the twine before layering everything on the card base.  I love how this turned out!

I started by die cutting a lot!  I cut the two flags, the hoop, the message strips, and the hello before adhering them all together.

I stamped the sentiment using my W+ 9 hand lettered hello stamp set from 2014.  I attached some buttons and I was good to go.  I liked this sketch, it felt a bit hard but I liked stretching my imagination!
