St Patricks

Green Hues For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  A fun color challenge that I used to create a St. Patrick’s Day card.

#196 3.15.19

I die cut the oval in soft suede and then used a leaf punch to create faux three leaf clovers out of granny apple green and shaded spruce.

I added everything to the card front, added some bling and the sentiment.

Happy St Pats!...

Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Go forth and partake of green beer and corn beef and cabbage! Neither of which I will be doing! I may have some Irish in me but not enough to convince me I should have either of these things!

I decided to make another green rainbow and used five colors to stamp the stripes. I added the two sentiments and a few sequins for the “gold”.  I spritzed some gold on the white cardstock but it barely shows up in the picture. I opted to make this a square card (4.25) and die cut the rainbow with the mini stitched scallop die.

Irish Rainbows...

As usual I am playing along with the CAS(E) this Sketch challenge and was able to combine it with three others – The Card Concept (shamrocks/patterns/greens), The Curtain Call (key lime) and The Paper Players (rain or shine). Uff da, that is a lot of challenges for me! Three is usually my max but sometimes things just work out!

I started my clean and layered card with a base of pear pizzazz. I added a piece of white that I die cut a curved edge to showcase my sentiment.

When I first saw this sketch and the two green challenges, I instantly thought of a monochromatic rainbow. So I die cut the rainbow out of old olive, lucky limeade, and pear pizzazz. I added a couple of clouds and a bit of sunshine!

I am tickled pink (read: green) with this card! LOL! Something fun for St. Patty’s Day!
