Welcome to a new challenge at As You See It! Today’s challenge is a color challenge with some fun colors of so saffron, melon mambo, and cucumber crush. These are Stampin’ Up colors so feel free to use a soft yellow, a bright pink and a bright green and you are good to go!

I opted to make a one layer card for this challenge. I started by stamping a doily of so saffron for the background and then added the flowers out of melon mambo and cucumber crush.

I finished off by adding a sentiment and running the card thru my linen impression plate. A fairly simple card with colors that I thought might be hard to marry together. But I love how this turned out!

Today’s card is very clean and simple. I needed to make a sympathy card. A friend of mine recently lost her husband and I wanted something that was understated but elegant.

I started with a base of vanilla that I ran thru the linen impression plate. I die cut a piece of pattern paper with my horizontal stitched dies.

The sentiment was gold embossed on vanilla and ran thru both the linen plate and the double stitched oval die. I layered everything and added a bit of gold cording underneath.
