Retro Rubber Challenge 202...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s anything goes!

RRCB 202

I started with my Simon Says Stamp Many Thanks stamp set from 2015.  I stamped the first rose stamp randomly using pale papaya ink and then used grapefruit grove for the second layer.  I added the two tone leaves in soft sea foam and pear pizzazz.

I stamped the sentiment and die cut with my deckled edges as well as die cutting the card front.  I added some ribbon, popped up the sentiment and adhered to the card base.  I finished it off with some dots and rhinestones.

Retro Rubber Challenge 194...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a color challenge and celebrates colors of the 90s.  We need to use three of these colors – earthy tones of terra cotta, rustic gold, reds, browns or dark teals.

RRCB 194

I opted to go with all the colors except for some reason I had blue not teals in my brain so I really used four of the five colors.  I broke out my very much loved Stampin’ Up French Foliage stamp set from 2011.  I love this set!

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 194 1

I stamped several images in terra cotta, crushed curry, cherry cobbler, and misty moonlight.  I die cut a triangle piece to place over some of the images that I stamped directly on the card base.  I added the sentiment in soft suede, some dots and was done.  The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink’s Mum’s The Word (2013).

Roses For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a sketch challenge!

#284 9.23.2022

I started by stamping and coloring some of the roses from the SU! Happiness Abounds stamp set.  I die cut them and then die cut some white card stock for the sketch.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 284 1

I added a piece of petal pink under the white card front, stamped the sentiment and then layered all together.  I love the peekaboo die cut and think it adds a bit of interest that brightens up the card.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 283 1

I added a piece of dsp and garden green trim to the vanilla card front and then die cut using a stitched rectangle.

I adhered to the card base and was planning to add some bling until I checked the time.  I had about 5 seconds left so I didn’t bother!  Time was 9 minutes and 55 seconds.

Feeling Blue For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a color challenge to use balmy blue, pacific point and night of navy.

#273 4.22.2022

I started by stenciling a harlequin background out of crumbcake on a piece of vanilla cardstock that I then die cut.  I stamped the sentiment in night of navy and the flower out of balmy blue and pacific point.

I backed the flower with some pacific point pattern paper and then layered up on balmy blue and the night of navy card base.  A little dab of twine and I was done!

Retro Rubber Challenge 166...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s time for an inspiration challenge so here is my take.

RRCB 166

I was inspired to use the colors and make a mini bouquet.  I used my stamps from Papertrey Ink Bitty Bouquet from 2015.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 166 1

I die cut a lattice out of grayish polka dot paper for the background (using the tabletop in the picture for that inspiration).  I used rustic white for my card base and for the little square I popped my flowers up on.  A small sentiment, thread and some bling and I was done.

A Wheat Recipe For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It is a recipe challenge to use wheat/grass, embossing folder, twine, gingham and crumbcake.

#257 8.20.2021

This was hard for me!  I stopped and started several different versions of cards until I landed on this.  I started by die cutting wheat in rustic cream and crumbcake.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 257 1

I ran the rustic cream cardstock through my woodgrain embossing folder.  I cut a curved edge and added some gingham pattern paper with a curved edge as well.  I stamped and die cut the sentiment and then layered everything on the card.

A Mango Melody For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a speed challenge to use blossoms.

#247 4.2.2021

I stamped the flower image and then colored using my alcohol markers.  Then I die cut the card front and a piece of pattern paper with my stitched rectangle dies.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 247 1

I ran the card front and base thru my linen plate and adhered everything together.  Time left was 0.00.  Yep.  I ran out of time as I was putting the card together.  I planned for some dots and rhinestones but it was too late!
