Tic Tac Toe Challenge

Retro Rubber Challenge 196...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a tic tac toe and I opted for the die cut/pumpkins/stripes.

RRCB 196

I started by stenciling diagonal stripes with Sahara sand on white cardstock.  I die cut the stripes using my mini scallop stitched rectangles.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 196 1

I stamped the pumpkin in light pumpkin pie and then added the overlay stamp in a darker pumpkin pie.  I stamped the leaf and vine directly on the stripes and then popped up the pumpkin.  I added the sentiment and was done.  The stamps are from my Close To My Heart So Grateful stamp set that I have had for at least 10 years.

Retro Rubber Challenge 192...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a tic tac toe and I opted for the nautical/pattern paper/blue.

RRCB 192

I started by stamping the logbook, ship and anchor in night of navy.  These images are from SU! The Open Sea from 2013.  I die cut the ship and backed with a scalloped circle using night of navy cardstock.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 192 1

I stamped the sentiment from Papertrey Ink’s Get Lost (2014) and then layered everything together.  I was admiring my work when I realized I left off the pattern paper!  So I added a strip at the bottom and was done.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 187 1

RRCB 181

I started by running all of my paper through the linen impression plate.  Then I stamped the tulips and die cut them.  The images are from my Papertrey Ink Tulip Time stamp set from 2016.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 181 1

I die cut the pear pizzazz and then ran it through the gridlines impression plate for my dry embossing.  I die cut it and the pattern paper with my mini stitched scallop rectangles.  I layered everything on my card base and added the sentiment which is from my Papertrey Ink Spring Hills stamp set from 2013 and punched out with my washi tape punch.  The dots added the final bit and I was done.

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a tic tac toe challenge!  I opted for pattern paper/die cut/4X4.

RRCB 177

I cut down my pale papaya cardstock to 4 inches by 4 inches and ran through the linen impression plate.  I also die cut a white card front so that I can use as my background.  I die cut some pattern paper and adhered to the card front.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 177 1

I stamped, colored and die cut the flowers and popped up on the card front after I had wrapped some twine and added the sentiment.  The sentiment is my retro stamp which is from Clearly Besotted 2015.

Cloudy Rainbows...

I am playing along today with The Paper Players.  They had a tic tac toe challenge that I decided I couldn’t resist!

I chose the top row of rainbow, sparkle and die cut.  I decided to pull out some old dsp that seemed cheery and would give me bright colors to make a rainbow.

Www.seejanestamp.com pp 576 1s

I die cut the rainbow out of real red, daffodil delight and lemon lime twist.  I used crumbcake and the dsp to make the umbrella and then used a bit of real red to go with the horizontal stripe of dsp.

Www.seejanestamp.com pp 576 2s

I die cut some clouds and then put everything together and added the “raindrops” made of rhinestones for the sparkle.  I debated about the sentiment and thought I would go with a thinking of you.  We all need a little brightness to chase away the rain and clouds and see the rainbows!

A huge thank you to The Paper Players for being chosen as A Cut Above for THIS card and to The Card Concept for being chosen as Honorable Mention for the same card.  I was so surprised and honored!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Retro Rubber Challenge 168...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s time for a Tic Tac Toe so I opted for greens, trees/foliage, and die cut/punch.

RRCB 168

I broke out my Papertrey Ink Topiary Trio stamp set from 2014 along with its die set.  One thing I like about using my old stamps is that I am sometimes shocked how long I have had them!

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 168 1

I die cut the tree and added some ink to age it a bit.  I die cut a piece of white cardstock, stamped the sentiment and adhered the topiary.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 168 2

I centered on the base and was done.  The die on this one is interesting in the fact that you can push up the little cuts to make it look more “alive”.  I don’t know that my attempts can be seen that well in my photo but it looks pretty cool in real life.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 163 1

Retro Rubber Challenge 158...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  A fun tic tac toe.  I opted for the pinks or reds/heat embossing/romantic occasion.

RRCB 158

I started by heat embossing the image in black and then coloring using my alcohol markers in rococo rose and old olive.  The image is from The Greetery Sketchbook Roses from 2019.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 158 1

I die cut the image and then popped up on the card base.  I finished by adding the sentiment.  Although this doesn’t have a specific romantic occasion, I quite like the idea of a surprise romantic card.
