Retro Rubber Challenge 253...

It’s a new Retro Rubber Challenge!  It’s a tic tac toe and I opted for die cut/punch, flowers, and sequins/gems.

RRCB 253

I started by cutting a couple of rectangles of pattern paper for the background.  I stamped the flower image (less than a year old) and clear embossed it.  I colored with my alcohol markers.  I die cut the image to layer on my pattern paper.

Www.seejanestamp.com rrcb 253 1

I stamped the sentiment from Lil Inkers.  I don’t know the name or age but have had this set for many years (I would bet 7 or 8 years).  I cut it and then ran it over my lemon lolly ink pad before adding to the die cut.  Finally, I added some twine and the sequins.

Bitty Punches For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a speed challenge to use punches!

AYSI 343

I am back after a short break fighting with my computer.  I am just happy to have a working computer again!  This challenge is about speed and punches.  I pulled out one of my top three punches – the bitty butterfly and promptly punched three butterflies.  (That sounds bad…lol)

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi343 1
I used a word background stamp and added a thank you sentiment.  I added the butterflies and some bling, die cut the card front, adhered to the base and was done.  Time used: 9 min!

Ink Blending For AYSI...

It’s a new challenge at As You See It!  It’s a fill in the blank!  This year, my crafting resolution is more ink blending and coloring!

AYSI 340

I have been watching a lot of crafting videos lately and they have all been about ink blending and coloring.  I usually rely on my colored ink pads but these videos have inspired me to do more with my blending brushes, alcohol markers, colored pencils, watercolor pencils and watercolors.  Let’s hope my resolution holds out!

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 340 1

I went really clean and simple here by die cutting a background, a picket fence and an urn.  I used my inks and blenders to color the fence and urn, leaving the background white.  I did attempt to color the background but just couldn’t get the right color or look.

Www.seejanestamp.com aysi 340 2

I popped the fence and urn up on the background and adhered to the kraft base.  I added a simple sentiment and was done.  What is your crafting resolution?
